Information you enter

Rent stores the property, unit, tenant, lease, business profile, invoice, and payment information you choose to enter. This can include names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, notes, rental amounts, payment methods, and dates.

These records are used to display your portfolio, calculate balances, generate documents, and provide the features you request. Rent does not process payments or collect bank credentials.

On your device and in iCloud

Records are stored on your device. The iCloud-enabled version also stores them in your private iCloud database to synchronize your devices. Other Rent users do not receive access to your portfolio. We do not operate a server that receives your rental records and do not have access to your private iCloud database.

Apple operates iCloud and processes information under its own privacy policy. Sync depends on your Apple Account, connectivity, and available iCloud storage. We do not promise that synchronization is immediate.

Exports and sharing

CSV exports, structured backups, reports, and invoice PDFs may contain personal and financial information. Files leave the app only when you choose to export or share them. The destination you choose, such as Mail, Messages, a storage service, or another app, handles those files under its own terms and privacy practices.

Support and diagnostics

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you include. We use that correspondence to respond and resolve the issue, and retain it only as needed for support and applicable obligations. Do not send private tenant details or complete backups unless necessary. You can request deletion of support correspondence by contacting us.

Rent includes no advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, or tracking technology. Apple may provide crash reports or beta-testing feedback when enabled through Apple’s services.

Corrections, deletion, and retention

You can edit records in Rent. Deleted records remain recoverable in Recently Deleted and may remain in local and iCloud storage, including revision data used to reconcile changes. Removing a record from the active portfolio is not permanent erasure. There is no automatic purge timer in this version.

You control device and iCloud app storage through Apple’s settings. Removing all app data there may be irreversible and may affect other synced devices. Export what you need first and contact support if you need help understanding the options. Exported copies and files shared with others must be managed separately.

This website

This website has no advertising, analytics scripts, or account forms. It is hosted by Vercel, which processes technical request information such as IP addresses and browser details to deliver and secure the website. See Vercel’s privacy policy. Visiting this website does not upload your Rent records. If you choose a light or dark appearance, this website saves that preference in your browser’s local storage. It is not sent to us.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the app or its practices change. The effective date above identifies the current policy.
